Chester is a firm favourite for many and with good reason. Not only does this city have all the activities and amenities of a modern town, it also has an expanse of historic gems at every turn.

We can specially recommend the Dewa Roman Experience, an interactive museum on Roman Britain. Or the demonstrations of various birds of prey in the grounds of the Cathedral.
