A firm favourite of ours, we can recommend Matlock Bath for any occasion. But the illuminations on a September's Saturday night is one of it's best attractions.

The illuminations consist of a night-time illuminations display in the River Gardens as illuminated boats make their way down the River Derwent. Afterwards, a truly spectacular fireworks display lights up the skies.

This night is very atmospheric as the light of Matlock Bath, with all of its shops, bars and restaurants meets the dark skies of the peak district.

Tickets to view the boats in the river gardens can be bought on the gate or online. There is no charge to view the fireworks - our driver can show you the best vantage point for viewing from the road.

Please note, a printing error has seen the date on our leaflets state THURSDAY 19th October - this is an error - We can assure passengers the true date is SATURDAY 19th October! Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
